What's up everyone!! After High school I went to work doing tile on and off and did mechanics also. I moved to Louisiana for a while and worked doing mechanics. When I got back to St. George I met my wife Amanda Hurd and we were married in 2001. We have three beautiful girls. Jayde 5, Lucky 2, and Macy 1. I started my own tile business and have kept busy in St. George while my wife enjoys being a full time mother.

Hi, everyone ! I am so glad we have the chance to share a part of our lives. After graduation, I married Jeremy Hubbard in Dec 97. I started doing hair at Legends in St. George Sept. 97. In 2000 I was given the opportunity to buy the salon and have since co-owned Legends. I now currently work part time behind the chair doing hair. I received my Real Estate License in 2005 and look forward to doing more of it when my boys are in school. I love being a wife and a mother and love giving my husband a chance to have one-on-one with our two beautiful boys while I work. Jeremiah is 5 and Thomas is 3. They are so full of life and energy. They have the sweetest souls. I am constantly running and trying to keep up. Speaking of "running" I am currently training to run the St. George Marathon in October! My 5 year old thinks he is running it too!!! My husband Jeremy has worked at Capitol Blg Materials for over 11 years. He is an inside tool salesman and paint specialist. He is also a mechanic on the side as a hobby. He is currently restoring a 65 Ford Mustang and his next project is a 36 Ford truck. Our home is here, in St. George, where we enjoy living close to family and friends. I cant wait to see what everyone else is up to!!!!

Rachelle Wright Kolb

Hello all-What I have been doing since we graduated from High School. I attended Dixie College for two years where I met my husband...loved every minute of it! For jobs I taught dance and lifeguarded at the city pool. Then I transferred up to BYU where I got my bachelor's degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development. I also subbed and took jazz classes at BYU for elective classes and taught at different studios in the Valley to make some money. I got married to my husband Klayton Kolb in 2000. Then I got an offer to be the Assistant Director for the Utah Valley State College Dance Team. I did that for 5 years. I had my first child, a boy, Slayde, in 2002. I was content being a Mom and working part-time as a dance teacher. I had my second child, a little girl, Jaksyn Ann, in 2005 and at the same time got a job at JetBlue Airways. It was to hard doing the Dance Team and working for JetBlue so I chose the airline industry for a change in lifestyle and enjoyed flying around the country with my husband and kids.

Just a year ago, my husband decided to head to school and get his degree. We opted to try out Dixie State college because it was close to family and he liked the CIT program they offered. So we are back in St. George! We love the weather and I love running into old friends from High School that are also living here! I was sad to miss the reunion...I didn't find out about it until the Thursday before and we already had plans. I will definitely look forward to the 15 and 20 year reunions so keep my email on file! :) Would love to hear from friends... rachellekolb@gmail.com!

Heather Booth Burdick

I married my husband Dean in February 1999. We live in St. George and have four boys: Johnathan, 8; Micheal, 6; Christopher, 4; and Timothy, 2.

Do you remember Mrs. Crawley's class?

Can you tell who these classmates are?

Send in your pictures!

Thanks to everyone who helped with and/or attended the class reunion! A special thanks to Shauna Davis Zitting, Melissa McArthur Kesterson, and Ginger Heaton Pelton for helping so much in the preparation and execution of the reunion. Thanks also to those who pitched in with clean-up. I hope you had a good time catching up with old friends and maybe even making a few new ones.

If you're reading this wondering why you didn't hear about the reunion, it is definitely NOT because we didn't want you to come! It was kind of last minute, and I didn't have everyone's contact info. Be sure you email a picture and blurb so I have your email for the next reunion. (It will be a Homecoming tailgate party for our 15 year. Let me know if you want to be on Chanda Warnick Atkinson's committee for that.) Cameron Morby and Thurmon Thomas will be in charge of the 20 year, and Joel Andrus is in charge of choosing a cruise for the 25 year if we have enough interested classmates. (Count me in!)

If you have a family picture or pictures from the reunion, be sure to email them to me so I can put them on the website. Hope everyone had fun! dixiehigh97@gmail.com

Stephanie Cyr Slack and Ryan Slack

Stephanie Cyr Slack and Ryan Slack
Ryan has worked in the wireless industry for the last 5 years in both sales and management. He owned his own Sprint exclusive stores which were in St. George and northern SLC for a couple of years, but eventually sold them after being given an offer he couldn't refuse. He then made the move to the retail side of Sprint and now works for corporate in St. George. I worked at Boulevard Home Furnishings for 5 years, but now work part-time at Peterson Industries. We are blessed to live here close to both of our families and friends.

10 year reunion

Our 10 year class reunion is today, so I hope you're already in St. George! Let me know if you're planning to attend the adults-only get-together tonight.

The picnic this morning was a lot of fun. It was great to see so many familiar faces. We had a castle/bounce house/slide/obstacle course for the kids, and I think they had a great time (even though it was so hot)!

There will be a dinner for adults tonight from 6-8. Dress will be nice-casual. It will be held at Dixie High School in the new building. We're having Panda Express (orange chicken, mandarin chicken, and broccoli beef), and it will cost $10/person. There will also be a salad for those who don't like Chinese food. There will be music, dancing, visiting, and maybe a couple surprises!

Send me an email letting me know how many will be attending. Also, send a current picture of you or your whole family with a little blurb about you. I'll be posting them to this website. My email address is dixiehigh97@gmail.com.

Check back often to see whose pictures are up. And get the word out so everyone has a chance to send a blurb about themselves.

Wow! Ten years already? We hardly seem old enough. Well, after high school I graduated from Dixie College. Shortly thereafter I moved to Salt Lake with the intentions of attending school. Somewhere along the way I started working for a car dealership and got distracted. I worked there for 8 years until I retired last August. During my travels I was married, had my first son, got divorced, met the love of my life, David, got remarried, had my second son, and am expecting my third baby of surprise gender at the end of September.

I lived in Holladay for the majority of my “Salt Lake” life. While Dave and I were dating and engaged we built a house in Cedar Hills where we now reside. I swore I’d never live in Utah County but I love it! Dave is the General Manager at Ken Garff Porsche/Audi/Volkswagen in Orem; I stay home with the boys, I never thought being a stay-at-home mom would be so rewarding and entertaining; Drew is 5 ½ and starting Kindergarten soon (he’s smart enough to be in 1st grade); and Ari just turned 1 on the 9th.

We regret not being able to make it down to the reunion but I’m as big as a house. I have really enjoyed reading up on everyone!

I have been married just over 5 years now. I married Whitney Stubbs, who is from Charleston, South Carolina. We are currenlty living in Lousiville Kentucky, where I am in my fourth and final year of Medical School at the University of Louisville. We have two children, 2 1/2 year old Lexi and 11 month old Tucker.

Melissa McArthur Kesterson

After High School I attended Dixie College, the following summer I married T. Brock Kesterson, an even bigger blessing than I knew at the time. We both plugged through school first at Dixie and then at SUU, I was in the Elementary Education Program. The summer I graduated I finished my student teaching, had our first son, Ethan 6, and moved to Whittier, CA for Brock to attend Chiropractic College SCUHS. We lived in California for about 3 years during which we were blessed with our second son Derek 4. We returned to St. George in June 2004 where Brock finished his Internship at Zion Chiropractic were he has been practicing. Since being back we have had our third son, Mason 2. I am privileged to stay home with them and enjoy all of their energy (if you have 3 boys you know what I mean). We are expecting our 4th (which I am assuming will be a boy) and live next door to my parents in my Great Grandfathers pioneer home, it is beautiful but still requires a lot of TLC which as my husband puts it "is the fun of it".

Toni Hughes Rowley

Life has been an amazing journey in which has brought us many wonderful experiences yes some trying but in the long run very rewarding. I met Colby Rowley my first year at Dixie College. He is from good old Parowan Utah. We have been married a little over 8 years. We were married 6 years before our first Child was born, he was a miracle baby born at 3 pounds, his name is Payton. All that came with him put me on the road to having an only child. Until one day when he was 7 months old and bam Surprise !!!! we found out we were going to have number two. We had a girl her name is Reagan, a good sized baby of 6 lbs so now that she is 17 months old she out weights her big brother , she is 25 lbs. at 2.5 yrs he is 18 lbs.. we keep very busy not only being parents but I have my own photography business I have been doing for the last 6 or 7 years. I love it and it keeps me very busy.. especially this time of year.. Colby is starting his own Mobile Floor & Window coverings business, we are so excited for this new adventure and hope all is well for all of our friends from Dixie High School CLass of 1997.

After High School, I bounced around a little but finally ended up in Southern California to work. I met and married my fabulous husband Ryan in 1999. A few years later we moved to Rancho Cucamonga and we've been here ever since. We love California! My husband designs and sells swimming pools and I stay home with the kids. We have two, Maylan is almost 7 and Brandon is almost 4. That's about it. Life is good.

Tami Jennings McArthur

After high school I attended Dixie College. During this time I met and fell in love with Aaron McArthur (also from St. George). We were married in November of 99. We then lived in Provo until Aaron finished his degree at the "Y". Then we moved to Bentonville, Arkansas. We never would have thought Arkansas would be in the agenda, but it turned out to be one of our greatest experiences yet! We often wish we could go back. This is where we had our first child, Annie Rae. After having a child we wanted to find a way back to St. George. This came the following Spring, 2003, when Aaron took a job with Steton Technologies. He worked there for about two years while we built our home and had our second child, Matt. He now works for his Father-in-law and I stay home with our kids! Our third just arrived a couple of months ago, Jason. It has been the greatest blessing to be a mom! Our kids really are our greatest joy! I hope all is going well for all of you! Thanks to Jana, Shauna, and all who have picked up on the reunion at the last minute and made it such a success! It's fun to see everyone's pictures and to read about what your doing! Thanks again!

For the past ten years, I've been pursuing my love of television. While majoring in broadcast journalism at BYU, I was able to spend a summer as an intern for FOX News Channel in New York City. After graduating, I worked as a producer for KUTV Channel 2 News. I then worked as a reporter/anchor at both the CBS affiliate in Idaho Falls and KCSG News in St. George.

Through my media experience, I was able to land a job as the public relations manager for a conservative think tank in Salt Lake, where I am currently employed. Now, I finally leave the mantra "Fair and Balanced" behind to push my conservative agenda…while meeting the likes of Newt Gingrich and other politicians.

I have also been appearing on KSL Studio 5 twice a month dishing on the latest fashion as the official fashion consultant for the University Mall. It is so much fun! In my spare time (not that there is much), I started up a side business, Glimpses Production, where I shoot, produce, and edit wedding and other special event video. Good times!

What up, Flyers? Since leaving Dixie High, I attended Dixie College and then THE University of Arizona and received my bachelor's in journalism. I wish someone that majored in "Hindsight" would have told me how little money I would make in this field. Nevertheless, my goal was to be a sports radio journalist, but I began a career in radio as a disc jockey in Tucson at 96.1 KLPX. I wanted to broaden my experience, so I took off to Salt Lake City in 2002 and worked as a TV news editor for KSL-TV. In 2004, I also served as an executive producer for "The Block," a 30-minute high school sports television show. In 2005, I decided to get back into radio in Idaho Falls as a disc jockey and assistant program director for 105.5 The Hawk. Suffering from a severe case of homesickness (if that's even a word), I came home to Tucson and I am now working as a photojournalist at KGUN-TV. It pays the bills, until my real dreams come to fruition. As for my personal life, I have an amazing girlfriend named Stephanie.

After Dixie High I attended Dixie College. After graduating from Dixie College I moved to Provo/Orem where I met my amazing hubby Colby (who is from New Mexico). We were married in March of 2001 and then moved to Spanish Fork. We spent the next few years working, finishing school, and traveling as much, and as often as we could. We were then blessed with a son, Casey Carter (aka--Bucky Dean) in April 2005. In March of this year we said goodbye to the snow and moved back down to the St. George area (while I was pregnant--I don't recommend it) so my husband could start his new business. We were sad to leave all of our new friends up north, but it's good to be back home and close to family. We were most recently blessed with the arrival of our daughter Megan on July 5, 2007. I'm still adjusting to life with 2 kids, but loving every minute of it. I can't wait to see everyone!

After high school I went to college, met my husband Jed Carling, and graduated with him from Utah State University in Biology in 2002. I worked with endangered species for the DWR or BLM during the summers throughout school and a couple more years once I started teaching. I taught science for five years in Meeker which is in northwestern Colorado. I LOVED teaching. I just had my first little bundle of joy in April. We moved to Monticello, Utah the day I walked out of the hospital. I'd advise against moving with a newborn baby. My husband loves his job working for the BLM and getting to spend everyday in the beautiful country surrounding us. Part of the allure to move here was to go backpacking and hiking in the canyons. I am now a full time mom packing her around the place. My last bit of news is that Ayla just learned how to roll over. I lost all my year books in a move at some point so it is so nice to see the pictures of everyone!!!

After Dixie High I went to BYU, where I danced on the BYU Theatre Ballet Company for 4 years and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Ballet. I went on to dance with SLC's Ballet West and then moved back to St. George in 2002 for my husband to start his business, Synergy Pro Consulting. I married my husband Heinz, who was a ballroom dancer at BYU, in June 2000. We now have 2 kids (Cruz 3 1/2 and Alessia 1) who we adore. I enjoy teaching & choreographing ballet at Dixie College . One of the unique things I have done in the last 10 years is travel to Greece to watch the 2003 Olympics.

I moved to SLC in 2000 where I worked as a personal assistant to the CEO of one of the top three law firms in the state. After hitting the salary ceiling last year at the firm, I made the decision to go back to school full time and fit four years of schooling into two. By next spring I will have my B.S. in International Relations with an emphasis in European Studies and Foreign Affairs. Part of the degree requires a study abroad program which I will attend next year. Having already visited Brussels, Paris and London, I am leaning towards a University in Berlin or possibly Dublin to fulfill that requirement. Upon my return I hope to settle into my dream job, which is finding someone to pay me to sit home and watch Oprah. If that doesn't work out, I will move on to Plan B.....which has yet to be devised.

After high school I graduated from Dixie College and then moved to Orem. After moving back to St. George I met and married my husband Jared Stewart in 2001. During the first 2 years of marriage we moved around a lot making stops in Utah, Montana, and California. We then moved to Iowa where we've been for the past 4 years with my husbands job as an Assistant Director of a private boarding school. I worked at the school until a couple months before our son Jackson (2 yrs) was born. My son keeps me pretty busy and is such a blessing in our lives. I've been lucky enough to be able to be a full-time stay at home mom and just work from home for the school a few times a month. We miss being close to family and friends but we have come to really enjoy the midwest and all it has to offer.

After high school I went to UVSC to play basketball for two years. I met my husband (Shaun) in 2000 and were married that same year. In 2002 Shaun graduated from BYU and we moved to Las Vegas for work. While in Vegas we had a son and then moved back to happy valley in December of 2003, where we now live. We currently have two children, Trevor age 4 and Brooke age 2. In October or sooner we will be adding two more boys to our family as I am pregnant with twins. Between family, church, and my home business I keep myself pretty busy.

Here's what we've been up to-
After high school I got my associates degree from Dixie College with a semester at BYU-Hawaii. Then we got married, attended UNLV for a while and moved to Vail, Colorado. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't mind the snow all that much, especially when we lived so close to the slopes. There I worked as a massage therapist and a nanny. My husband was the director of tennis at a club. After having 2 kids there we decided that it was time to move on and finish school. We then went to BYU-Hawaii and finished our bachelor's degrees, my husband in sports science and anthropology for me. We have been back in good old St. George for about a year where my husband is the tennis coach @ Dixie State and I play with Rigby 5, Liddy 3, and Hali'a.

Hey Everyone! Sorry, I couldn’t find a picture of just me…..Single? Yes, yes I am
J. I have had a blast the past 10 years. You could say that my life has been full of wonderful surprises (okay, I am really not that cheesy). After high school I suffered a very traumatic loss when my mom passed away from cancer. I had just finished a year at Dixie College, but moved to Salt Lake after she passed. I finished my associates degree at SLCC, then my B.A. in Communication from the University of Utah. I have done a lot of very random things since high school. I have worked in radio promotions, at the 2002 Olympics, traveled the East Coast and South doing live promotional events, traveled overseas, taught dance, worked in a salon, at a church, and traveled as much as possible. Yeah, I can’t really sit still for long.

4 and a half years ago I moved to Colorado Springs, CO. I currently do hair at a small local salon and teach dance. I have 2 nephews and a niece who are the absolute joys of my life. I am not sure how long I’ll be in CO….I think my next stop is taking a year overseas, or L.A….who knows really. See ya’ll soon.

Lisa Allen Lara

So many things can happen in 10 years. I got my associates at Dixie College, and then graduated from BYU in Psychology. I served a mission in Uruguay which was amazing. I married Ariel Lara in 2002 (he's from Bolivia) and we now have 2 beautiful daughters, Alicia 3 1/2 and Averi who just turned 2. I was a Vocational Rehab Counselor for a while, but now I love being home with my girls. We are in Provo (still); Ariel is working and planning on attending law school in a year. Just a few months ago our entire family was involved in a major car accident (someone hit us head-on on the freeway). We rolled 3 times and it was a miracle that we all walked away from it. We are all fine, but I am now missing a pinky finger. We are so grateful for the Lord and that He still works miracles.

After high school I got my associate degree at Dixie College, where I met the love of my life, Robert Dammann. He moved away for a few years, and I moved all over the place, only to settle back in St. George near my family. Now I am just enjoying being around my mom, siblings, 1 neice and 2 nephews. Rob and I spend a lot of our time at the lake wakeboarding and hanging out with friends. I am now a head teller at a bank, and Rob is working on buying his own business. We aren't married yet, but maybe that'll be in our near future. I miss all my friends from high school, and hopefully can see them soon!

After graduating Dixie High, I went to Dixie College for 2 years. After that I moved back home to Mesa, AZ to be closer to my family and friends. I got a job at as a Flight Attendant and traveled the world for a few years until 9/11, then decided to go back and finish school. I met my husband, Eric, at ASU where he was getting his undergrad and I was attending University of Phoenix. We were married in July of 2002. We currently reside in Omaha, Nebraska where my husband is in his third year of Pharmacy School at Creighton University. We will be heading out into the world after he graduates, as he is currently a Captain in the US Air Force. I am a full-time stay at home mom, but also work full-time from home as a Recruiting Manager for a Staffing Company. Zac and I have been married seven years, and we have a little girl named Jocelyn who is three, and a little boy named Cameron who just turned one. They make me laugh every day! Shauna Davis Zitting and Darryl Zitting

Shauna Davis Zitting and Darryl Zitting
Shauna:
Hi everyone, after good ol' dixie high I moved to salt lake to attend the U. I graduated with a BS in biology, then served a mission in Chile. After my mission I taught math and science for a while in the alternative classroom at Dixie Middle, then taught at a wilderness school. I really liked working with "troubled" teens, so I decided to get a master's in social work. Oddly enough I've worked mainly with adults since then. I married Darryl Zitting during my first year of grad school. We've been married now for 3.5 years and have an 18 month old daughter. I love being a mom and just recently have gone back to work. We'd love to hear from any Dixie High alums and look forward to the reunion.

Darryl:
Darryl graduated from the U with a combined B.S./M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering. He served a mission to Asuncion, Paraguay partway through his studies. Darryl now works for Maxtec, a company that primarily focuses on medical devices related to respiratory therapy. He loves being a dad. He's spent most of his spare time remodeling our home, but has managed to find time to fiddle with his MG-B (an old British race car), build a chopper (the motorcycle, not the helicopter), and ride his new trials motorcycle. He might have to miss the reunion due to a trials bike competition in Loa, UT.

Rodney Ginocchio
Tiff and I have been married for almost 8 years. After high school I continued working for my dad and skipped around several other jobs until we moved to Dayton, Nevada in 2002 when I was hired by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. I work as a Patrol Deputy, love every minute of it and can't even think of doing anything else. For those wondering, Douglas County is the furthest west point of Nevada covering the southwest side of Lake Tahoe. Tiff is a great stay at home mom for our two children, Malia who's just shy of 4 and Brinley, 7 months. I'm looking forward to getting to see all of you again and hope everyone can make it.

Tara Cluff Cutler

After High School I attended Dixie College and SUU where I graduated with my degree in Nursing. I also studied at the BYU Jerusalem Center for a summer. I moved to SLC to work in the Newborn ICU at the U of U. While living here I met my husband Darrin Cutler who is a Pharmacist at St Mark's Hospital. We have been married for four years now and have an 8 month old little girl named Kate. I work one day a week so Kate and her dad can have their day together. I am having the best time being a mom the rest of the time.

We have been married for over seven years and have four kids. Chrislyn 6, Cicely (Almost) 5, Chet 3, and Cooper 11 months. Chris served a mission in Brazil and I was a nanny in New York and went to school. When Chris got home we were married. Chris graduated from Dixie with his Bachelors in Business. He then got a job in the banking field but to whoever knows Chris, he couldn't handle the desk life! He is now making sure Costco hits all time sales and continuing his education. I am working on my M.D. in motherhood and so far it is the hardest but most fun education I could possibly achieve! We live in St. George.

After Dixie High I went to Dixie College, then the BYU Jerusalem Center and then the U. of U. I served a mission in Milan, Italy. After my mission I dated and married Jeremy Stewart, of Ogden, Utah whom I met on the BYU study abroad. We lived in Salt Lake City our first 8 months of marriage while I finished my degree in economics at the U of U. Then we moved to Washington, D.C. where Jeremy attended American University and is now attending
Georgetown Law School. We have lived in the district for 4 years now. I quit my job as a staffer for Senator Bennett to raise our son, Tennyson who is almost 8 months old. Being a mom is so
much fun! I love it. We will most likely be living here for several more years.

Rick and I have been married for about 6 ½ years. We have three kids. Hannah, age 5; Seth, age 3; and MaKaty, age 3 months. ( We don’t have a family picture with MaKaty yet, hence the separate picture) We both graduated from University of Utah: Rick in civil engineering, and me in Early Childhood Education. Rick works for a private engineering firm in St. George. I worked in Early Intervention until Hannah was born, and am now a happy stay-at-home mom.

My wife Emily and I have been married for over 5 years now and have one little boy named JC (2 years). We both graduated from BYU in 2005, Emily in dietetics and myself in Biology with a teaching emphasis. I got offered a job at Pine View Middle School soon after graduation and decided to seize the opportunity to come back to St. George. I am just starting my 3rd year of teaching and will be going back to graduate school this winter. Emily also works at a nutrition and weight loss spa here in St. George and overseas the education of the guests that visit there. As for JC, he enjoys being a spoiled only child - I am sure all of you with children know what I
mean by that!

We have three kids, Brynna- 7, Christian- 5 and Noah- 2. I am able to stay at home with them and really love it, they crack me up! Just recently, I started a small photography business, because I love it. Check out my blog (I use it for my family stuff too).
